We were in Hamburg last week-end and visited the Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe (Museum for Art and Crafts ), an encyclopedic museum that covers over 4,000 years of human history.
Their recently opened exhibition about tattoos (called, appropriately enough, “Tattoo”) was utterly eye-opening…fascinating…and filled with surprising history and facts we’d never before contemplated… Visitors of all types crowded the galleries. You can see evidence of that here, with artist Chris Eckert’s installation, “Auto Ink,” which allowed visitors to get their own (temporary) tattoos.

The exhibition runs through September 6, 2015, so if you find yourself in Hamburg, check it out and let us know what your tattoo looks like!
